On January 24th, we replaced our *.flexnetoperations.com wildcard SSL Certificate in the production environment. When Digicert issued the new certificate, it was based on a new intermediate certificate, as the previous one had been retired. A subset of customers who were using this certificate for integrations and had not trusted all certificates in the chain experienced trouble connecting to clients.
NOTE: This update should have no impact on environments where the certificate is not used for integrations or those that are configured to trust all certificates in the chain.
To mitigate connection issues, Digicert agreed to reissue the certificate with the retired intermediate. This certificate expires in March 2023. We are installing this reissued certificate into the UAT environment on:
UAT Enterprise Portal (ALM/LLM) - *.flexnetoperations.com – February 2, 2022
We would strongly advise customers to RETEST their integration in UAT and immediately notify us of any issues by February 14th,2022. Based on results, we will announce a Production deployment date. Subscribe to this dashboard or the FlexNet Operations News blog for further information.
Note: If the January 24th certificate update did not cause any integration issues, then this update should not have any impact. If one of the affected customers had made changes to trust the new certificate then they may have to consider redoing this exercise. The CA/Browser forum only allows certificate authorities to issue certificates with a maximum validity of 397 days, so this certificate will be reissued next year with a new intermediate.
